In November 2006, Legend flew an airborne
Versatile Time Domain Electro Magnetic survey (VTEM-1) covering
180km2. (ASX Announcement:
4 December 2006). The VTEM technique has proven to be an
extremely valuable and cost effective technique in identifying new
targets and known sulphide ore systems in the Pilbara. The VTEM-1
survey identified six priority base metal targets consistent with
the possible presence of massive sulphide.
A second VTEM-2 survey was completed in June 2007,
covering 210km2, identifying a further six priority base metal
targets and five second order anomalies. (ASX Announcement:
5
July 2007).
Subsequent ground Fixed-Loop Transient
Electromagnetic surveys (FLTEM) over the 12 priority targets has
resulted in the definition of 11 immediate drill targets.

Nine targets fall within Legend’s 100% owned and
two on Mt Marie JV ground located within 50km of Karratha.
Approximately 50% of the current ground holding has now been flown
by the two surveys.
Legend is currently working to expedite the grant
of exploration licences and will commence the drill testing of
electromagnetic anomalies subject to the grant of title.
Legend has already identified
eleven priority base metal drill targets and has identified 17.5km
of the Cleaverville formation as having potential for Iron Ore.
